A big Whew!

24 Season 8 just had it's redeeming episode. After eleven lackluster episodes, i finally had the excitement back. >>

Picture
The first four premiere episodes started with quite an interesting comeback for Jack Bauer. The assassination plot to President Omar Hassan of the Islamic Republic of Kamistan. Remember Season one? The same plot to the most popular 24 president, David Palmer.

24 has evolved so much since then. From Nuclear threats, Virus outbreak, and government conspiracies. Seven Seasons have been made and yet, this Jack Bauer franchise is still on.

Not until the previous episode, where we got the first excitement we need by means of suicidal terrorists.

Renee Walker also made her comeback during episode 4. She then offered herself to work undercover. Renee seems to be out of control this time.

She and Jack finally had their scenes together. Still not good enough.

Picture
We also missed the Jack/Chloe conversation, glad that we finally have it on episode 12.

Picture
Here's the most dissappointing plot this season, Katee Sackhoff's Dana Walsh character is just too annoying.

Picture
Tarin, President Omar's head of security captured Kyla, his daughter.

Pretty interesting twist, President Omar has just too many moles on his organization.

Picture
Capturing Kyla in exhange of  "File 33". It contains America's Defense Mechanisms exposing their weak points.

Terrorists wanted that to successfully launch the nuclear rods on US soil.

Picture
And here's the redeeming moment of 24 season 8. The EMP ( Electromagnetic Pulse) bomb.

"The resulting electric and magnetic fields may couple with electrical/electronic systems to produce damaging current and voltage surges."

Picture
These terrorists purposely allowed Kyla to escape to get to CTU and have this EMP bomb explode.

This seems to be the start of the last episodes of the season, or should i say series. Fox Executives are not opting to renew 24 for a ninth season, but to make a Jack Bauer Film Franchise instead.

However, news surfacing the net says that NBC would likely pick up 24 in case Fox won't renew it. 24 on NBC means delaying Jack Bauer on the big screen.

I say end this series now while they still has "it." A Jack Bauer film franchise would be great and could start a new group of fans worldwide!
