We have finally switched our cable provider from Cablelink back to SkyCable just to have Balls channel and watch UFC 116 Live! Yup may balls na kami! Haha! >>
UFC 116 Lesnar vs. Carwin is a title unification bout. The two were both slated to face each other last year, but was delayed after Brock Lesnar suffered a serious career threatening illness. Now good to have him back!
The undercard matches was a great watch too. Brendan Schaub defeated Chris Tuchscherer via TKO, George Sotiropoulos scored a unanimous decision to Kurt Pellegrin, a bloody Stephan Bonnar defeated Krzysztof Soszynski via TKO.
Chris Leben vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama was an epic bout. Yoshihiro fought as an Asian who wanted to ignite the MMA fighters against other world class fighters. However, Leben proved he has the experience as he fought from his back at Round 3 to submit Akiyama.
The Main event Brock Lesnar vs. Carwin immediately follows and we saw some familiar faces in the crowd! Wooo!
Round 1 saw Hurricane Katrina destroying Brock Lesnar with some heavy shots. That brought the champion to his back followed by more solid hard punches and an elbow straight to the face of Lesnar!
Shane Carwin is known as an undefeated MMA fighter with all of those as first round finishes! The referee Josh Rosenthal watches if Brock could still take those punches from the contender and he indeed survived the first round. Sharwin's record was broken!
Brock managed to survive the first round as a bloody mess!
Round 2 saw Brock Lesnar took Carwin down to the mat and started to submit him via arm triangle choke. Carwin is holding on for a few seconds...
But Brock's strength seems to much for him and he finally tapped out!
Brock is backkkkkkkk! And this time, we have a different Brock Lesnar from when he last fought Frank Mir. Upon post-fight interview, he thanked his family, traning staff, his doctors, and God, mentioning that he's still the toughest SOB on the planet. Indeed! A completely different turnarond from the crowd's boos on his last win!
A big salute to Shane Carwin! He's the only man so far that almost got Brock in the mat.
His MMA record may have been stained but atleast he wasn't like some fighters who's afraid to have their record broken!
I am on Brock Lesnar on this one, but i want him to get hurt badly as he defends his title and that's what we got! Great Pay-per-view!
Next in line is Cain Valesquez as per Dana White who also have a no loss on his career.
